Kaffehuset – Enjoy your lunch in the café at the Johannes Larsen Museum
Turn your gaze towards the horizon or the garden while you enjoy our home-baked cakes with freshly brewed coffee, a delicious lunch, a freshly tapped draft beer or a cool glass of wine.
It is possible to visit the Kaffehuset without having to buy entrance to the museum.

Atmospheric café in Kerteminde – an important part of our artists’ home
Kerteminde is particularly known for the fantastic green surroundings with unobstructed views of the sea. You will find exactly that setting in our café, which is located as a natural extension of our museum – and we guarantee that you will feel the good atmosphere immediately.
Make the visit to the Johannes Larsen museum an even better experience and get freshly brewed coffee and home-baked cake in the Kaffehuset. We serve coffee from 10 am Lunch is served from 11pm and the menu is changed at least four times a year, we strive to use local producers and ecology. The menu is based on seasonal vegetables, and with a touch of inspiration from the special exhibition in Vingen.
The beautiful local bird box can also be used for morning meetings, smaller parties and lectures.
Lunch and Coffee
At Kaffehuset, we always focus on the season’s supply of fresh produce. This season you can enjoy many tasty dishes, where we connect the special exhibition “Trækfuglevej – I Thøger Larsens spor” with the taste of Italian cuisine, into our new menu.
The bird box is used for much more than lunch, book your next private event, lecture evening, morning meeting or memorial service.

Handmade ceramic
Is to find on window siil in the Kaffehuset, made by the artisk Helle Hansen, she has a speciel connection to the museum. She was on a sailingtrip whit the ship Rylen, witch is the boat Johannes Larsen used for his expolations of the small danish islands, here she fond the inspiration for the caramic.
It is for sale at the Kaffehus.
